Change

A change may occur now and then .

You may not realize how or when
If you'll pay attention to this story you'll see

how my life was changed for me.

I was on top of the world, I had it all

things were great I felt ten feet tall.

I was in the fast lane and living free.

Thinking to myself " This is the life for me".

A few bad choices led me astray.

The devil had hooked me leading me further away.

And then one day I realized the cost

of the precious things I could've lost.

I remembered what mattered most to me

the Gospel and my eternal family.

So I started to do the things that are right,

reading scriptures and saying prayers morning and night.

Each day it got easier to stand a little taller

my desire to do evil shrank and got smaller.

I quit my job not knowing what to do.

Gave up friends and sold the house too.

I was cut at the knees and was extremely humbled.

My dreams of success and wealth had crumbled.

No worries though, all that doesn't matter.

But what does is climbing that spiritual ladder.

Trusting in him that's how you do it.
And when things get rough he'll help you through it.

So I found a good job, steady and stable.

I'm starting all over but I'm willing and able.

It provides for my family and supplies our needs,

We can even afford a doublewide surrounded by weeds.

Things are good, I'm happy, life's merry,

cuz we have our own little house on the prairie.

From one end of the scale and back up to the other .

All because of Jesus Christ, our brother.

To be loved, redeemed, and forgiven of sin

is something special, freely given to all by him.

So if you're ready to change, its the thing to do.

It might even be a great thing for you.

It turns out that mine was meant to be

Cuz this is the best thing that's happened to me.
